Is the Job related to staff position within a Research Infrastructure?: No

The research project is aimed at the development of coherent photon sources (nanolasers) with optical or electrical pumping for integrated quantum applications.

To this end, the IR will work on the synthesis of photo- and electro-luminescent devices based on two-dimensional arrays of nanostructures coupled to thin films as active materials, on the modeling and characterization of their emission properties.

The candidate must have direct expertise in techniques for modeling optical properties with finite element methods, nanofabrication (in particular EBL and photolithography), thin film deposition (spin coating and magnetron sputtering) and characterization of the morphological and optical properties of the studied devices (AFM, SEM, ellipsometry, photoluminescence).

The IR must also have skills in the development and use of optical set-ups with ultrafast lasers

- for qualifications 20 points: degree, PhD, specialization diploma, certificates of attendance of post-graduate specialisation courses (obtained in Italy or abroad);

- for the scientific-professional curriculum 30 points: documented research activity carried out at public and private entities with contracts, scholarships or assignments (both in Italy and abroad) relevant to the research activity subject of the announcement;
