[Background of the recruitment and description of the project]

Our unit is a new laboratory established in November 2023, and aims to develop new magnetic materials with topological functions and high-performance magnetic functions based on materials synthesis.

We will develop novel intermetallic compounds and alloys using singe crystal growth and rapid quenching methods, and elucidate their magnetic structures and topological properties through various measurement techniques such as magnetometry, scanning probe microscopy, and neutron scattering.

RIKEN is Japan's largest and most comprehensive research organization for basic and applied science.

Annual salary:4 million yen

The total amount of monthly discretionary work allowance and monthly salary at the time of hiring will be 400,000 JPY or more.

Overtime and other explanations:This position falls under the specialized duties discretionary work system; one working day will be calculated as 7 hours and 30 minutes.

2.RIKEN may adjust the above maximum period of renewability based on a) the employee’s abilities, workload at the time of contract completion, performance and work attitude and b) the continuation of the employee’s center, laboratory or project and RIKEN’s management situation and budget at the time.

RIKEN has a telecommuting system, but this position requires attendance at the work location.

Therefore, the telecommuting system is not available for this position, in principle.
