You will be responsible for teaching and conducting research in the field of organic chemistry and catalysis at the Department of Chemical Engineering.
You will teach both the fundamentals and application-oriented content, with a particular focus on the role of organic chemical processes in the transition to carbon neutrality.
Promoting students’ personal and academic development will be a top priority for you.
A strong research team and well-equipped laboratories provide an inspiring environment in which to develop key research areas.
You have a degree in chemical engineering or a related subject.
You have also successfully completed a doctoral degree in organic synthetic chemistry, organometallic chemistry, catalysis, or a related area.
In addition, you have solid professional experience in the industry.
You have a good grasp of both the academic perspective and the practical requirements of modern chemical production.
A background in technical chemistry, combining knowledge and practical experience, will help you bridge the gap between the laboratory, the plant, and the realities of the process.
Experience in academic teaching, ideally at university level, would be advantageous, as would initial leadership experience.
Years of Research Experience: 4 - 10
A permanent W2 professorship on civil servant conditions will enable you to make a valuable contribution to teaching, research and university management.
