The ONCOPIT project aims to develop next-generation biomaterials based on surface-modified nanozeolites for local and systemic treatment of glioblastoma.
The project integrates materials science, biomaterials engineering, controlled therapeutic delivery, cancer immunotherapy, and regenerative medicine to develop injectable zeolite-based hydrogels capable of eradicating residual tumour cells while promoting neural tissue repair and neuroregeneration.
The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary research team working at the interface of materials chemistry, biomaterials engineering, biology, and translational medicine.
The project offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative therapeutic biomaterials through close collaboration with national and international partners.
The successful candidate will work within a newly established interdisciplinary research group at the Laboratory of Catalysis and Spectrochemistry (LCS, CNRS) in Caen, France.
The project provides access to state-of-the-art facilities for materials synthesis, physicochemical characterization and biomaterials development, and offers opportunities to collaborate with leading national and international researchers in biomaterials, cancer immunotherapy and regenerative medicine.
• Design and synthesize multifunctional biomaterials based on hierarchically porous zeolites.
• Develop surface functionalization and bioconjugation strategies for therapeutic molecules.
• Investigate hydrogel gelation mechanisms complying with its injection and tumor microenvironment condition, and study of injectability and degradation mechanism and kinetics
• Study pH- and light-responsive therapeutic release from zeolite-based hydrogels.
• Perform comprehensive physicochemical, structural, morphological and rheological characterization of the developed biomaterials.
• Collaborate closely with the biology postdoctoral researcher and the PhD student to optimize biomaterial performance for biological evaluation.
• Analyse experimental data, prepare scientific manuscripts, and present research findings at national and international conferences.
