Position Overview
This position is required to work closely with UNT faculty colleagues, and researchers at sponsoring agencies on high performance metallic materials.
The position would require strong background in microstructure, mechanical properties, understanding of advanced solid state processing of metallic materials.
PhD in Materials Science and Engineering
Conduct experiments, gather data, document research notes, code and analyze data, interpret data.
Keep up with historical and latest research data and publications.
Assist with reporting of research progress to funding agencies.
Help in preparing reviews and research proposal writing.
This is a Security Sensitive Position.

What you’ll bring

- We welcome candidates who have experience with HSI/MSIs and/or who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, American Sign Language, Chinese (Cantonese, Mandarin and other variations), Arabic, Tagalog, Farsi, French, or/and Yoruba.
- Experience with solid state additive manufacturing of aluminum alloys is essential.
