About the position
Postdoctoral Position in Nanoscale Characterizations of Solution-Processed Photovoltaic Materials (M/F)
Institution: CNRS
Research Field: Chemistry
Researcher Profile: Recognised Researcher (R2)
Application Deadline: 30 Sep 2026 - 23:59 (UTC)
Job Status: Full-time
Is the job funded through the EU Research Framework Programme?: Not funded by a EU programme
Is the Job related to staff position within a Research Infrastructure?: No
The main objective of the position is to perform macroscopic and nanoscale investigations on perovskite thin films and optoelectronic devices, in particular solar cells, in order to understand their metastability and the associated processes occurring at interfaces and in the bulk.
The work will involve operando electrical and optical characterizations, spatially resolved analyses of performance and degradation mechanisms, and the development or adaptation of advanced experimental methodologies within the broader field of halide perovskite physics and chemistry.
Fabrication of functional perovskite solar cells and investigation of their electrical and optoelectronic properties at multiple length scales using advanced local microscopy and characterization techniques (such as scanning probe–based approaches); Study of charge transport, recombination, and metastability processes under different operating conditions (dark, illumination, electrical bias); Spatial analysis of performance inhomogeneities and degradation mechanisms using optical and electrical mapping techniques; Structural and functional characterization of interfaces and junctions, in particular through nanoscale analyses; Development, adaptation, and optimization of experimental methodologies for operando device studies.
The project will be carried out at LPEM, a CNRS research laboratory recognized for its activities at the interface of physics, materials science, and functional devices.
The research will be conducted within the multidisciplinary MNC team, which develops advanced experimental approaches for the study of optoelectronic materials and devices.
The postdoctoral researcher will work in a stimulating scientific environment that promotes interaction, collaboration, and innovation, and will benefit from the collective expertise, experimental facilities, and scientific network of the laboratory.
