Post-Doctoral Position (M/F) –e Zeolites with Controlled Morphology and Chemical Composition

Institution: CNRS

Research Field: Chemistry

Researcher Profile: Recognised Researcher (R2)

Application Deadline: 21 Sep 2026 - 23:59 (UTC)

Job Status: Full-time

Is the job funded through the EU Research Framework Programme?: Not funded by a EU programme

Is the Job related to staff position within a Research Infrastructure?: No

The post-doc will work within a dynamic research team focusing on advanced zeolite synthesis, morphology control, and comprehensive characterization.

The project combines materials chemistry with advanced analytical approaches to understand and control the relationship between zeolite size, morphology, composition, acid-site distribution, and performance.

The project is hosted by a laboratory specializing in zeolite chemistry and provides access to state-of-the-art synthesis and characterization facilities.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop innovative approaches for the rational design of zeolitic materials with tailored structural and acidic properties, while interacting with researchers from complementary scientific disciplines.

We are offering a post-doctoral opportunity for a highly motivated researcher to investigate the synthesis of zeolites with precise control over crystal size, morphology, and the spatial distribution of acid sites.

The project aims to establish relationships between synthesis parameters, zeolite architecture, chemical composition, and the resulting catalytic properties.Particular emphasis will be placed on developing strategies to tune zeolite crystal dimensions and morphology, from nanosized and hierarchical crystals to well-defined conventional morphologies, while controlling the location, density, and accessibility of Brønsted and Lewis acid sites.

The project will take place within the framework of the Petro China managed by Dr.

The LCS has built its reputation on the preparation of zeolites and related porous materials.

Research Field: Physics

Years of Research Experience: 1 - 4

• PhD in chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or a related field.

• Strong experience in zeolite synthesis and structural characterization, particularly in controlling crystal size and morphology.

• Knowledge of methods for investigating zeolite acidity and acid-site distribution, including spectroscopic, adsorption, and/or catalytic characterization techniques.

• Experience with advanced characterization techniques relevant to determining crystal morphology, size, porosity, chemical composition, and acid-site accessibility is highly desirable.
