About the position
Post doc in hydrogen infrastructure in energy systems
We are looking for a postdoc to join our team at the Division of Energy Technology, Department of Environmental and Energy Sciences.
The postdoc position on offer will join a team of senior researchers, postdocs and PhD students dedicated to research with the aim of identifying and evaluating different pathways toward sustainable energy systems.
The Division of Energy Technology has extensive experience in the field of energy systems analysis and model methodology development.
A focus of the research is to understand the challenges and opportunities of integrating renewable energy sources and electrification of new sectors at different geographical levels.
The group participates in several large research projects such as Mistra Electrification and North European Power Perspective.
About the research project
The overall aim of the postdoc project is to investigate the role of hydrogen as an energy carrier in the energy transition.
While the research within the position relies on techno-economic modeling, it is carried out in an interdisciplinary EU project (https://h2valley.se/), and it is part of the position to share and combine research results with social scientists and legal researchers.
A doctoral degree in energy systems, power systems, industrial systems or similar field.
Experience in energy systems modeling and analysis
You are expected to have experience with teaching, and to demonstrate good potential within research and education.
Experience in the development of modeling methodology
Experience in modeling hydrogen infrastructure (pipelines and/or storages).
The main task of a postdoc is to carry out their own research.
Present research results to and collaborate with other researchers within the project.
The position is a temporary full-time employment for two years with the possibility of a one-year extension.
The position requires physical presence throughout the entire employment.
