Doctoral student in Fluidized-Bed CO₂ Adsorption
We are looking for a Doctoral student to join our team at the Division of Energy Technology (Dept. of Environmental and Energy Sciences).
Become part of our research group on fluidization and contribute to impactful research in carbon capture within a collaborative and dynamic environment.
At we develop and analyse sustainable energy systems and advance technologies for energy conversion and climate mitigation.
Through strong national and international collaboration, we unite experimental and theoretical research to create efficient, low-emission solutions, driving the transition towards carbon-neutrality in the energy and industry sectors.
About the research project
You will join FlexCSAR, an EU-project aiming to develop a flexible, adsorption-based technology for capturing CO₂ from flue gases.

To qualify as a Doctoral student, you must have a Master's degree (masterexamen) of 120 credits or a Master’s degree (magisterexamen) of 60 credits* in a relevant field.
*for students with an education earned outside of Sweden, a 4-year Bachelor’s degree is accepted.
Experience in carrying out experimental research
Develop your own scientific concepts and communicate the results of your research verbally and in writing
Measure and study solids fluid-dynamics, interphase mass transfer and bed-to-exchanger heat transfer
Develop closure expressions for mass and heat transfer models
Write scientific publications and project reportsSpecify project specific tasks for the position
The Doctoral student positions are fully funded from start.
The position is a fixed-term appointment of four years, with the possibility to teach up to 20%, which extends the position up to five years.
Doctoral studies require physical presence throughout the entire study period.
A valid residence permit must be presented by the agreed study start date; otherwise the admission may be withdrawn.
