About the position
The School of Engineering at EPFL and its Institute of Mechanical Engineering invite applications for a faculty position in Energy Systems.
The successful candidate will contribute to our mission of developing rigorous and systematic methods for the design, realization, management, operation, and retirement of multi-scale complex systems.
The fields of Energy Systems research within Mechanical Engineering include but are not limited to: i) Energy generation and/or conversion, ii) Energy storage, integration and distribution; iii) Energy for extreme environments, such as space; iv) Optimal operations of energy systems.
A doctorate is required at the starting date.
The candidate is expected to develop an independent and internationally competitive research program in our multidisciplinary environment.
The candidate will supervise their PhD students and engage with researchers across EPFL campuses.
The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching and contribute to Mechanical Engineering education programs at both undergraduate and graduate levels.
